Launched LUCIANO SOPRANI (Italy) , our first luxury brand business |

On September 1, 2004 we concluded an agreement
with STUDIO SOPRANI S.R.L., a famous Italian fashion house, to license
its LUCIANO SOPRANI line of women's clothing in the Japanese market,
as the first step in our development of a brand business. The license
will be for three years. In 2005 we will start the business full
swing with sales for autumn and winter collections. We anticipate
sales of 500 million yen in the first year, and in the future expect
sales on the order of 5 thousand million yen per year.
The brand concept is 'stylish, classy apparel that is highly sensitive
and based on elegance and superior quality'. We will position the
brand between overseas luxury brands and domestic pret-a-porter,
as a luxury -pret-a. We will target women in their 30s and 40s, aiming
to strike a chord in two generations, the mothers and the daughters.
With an eye on the 2005 autumn and winter collections, in February
we held an exhibition of full item such as jackets, pants, and knits.
Since then we have held Italian-related events and have actively
promoted LUCIANO SOPRANI as the company's leading brand. |
